I have been sampling various cream makeup and I have some favorites of my own. I have learnt that non-sheer cream makeup – be it eyeshadow or blush – are easier to apply, last longer and serve even better multi functional purposes. For the purpose of this post, we are focusing on time saving makeup that still gives you the gorgeous look without using too much makeup products or spending too much trying to combine them. Bottom line is that you should not use time as an excuse to not look your best; makeup can be easy, fast and beautiful.
To save time, I use Mary Kay cream blush as blush, eyeshadow and lipstick. But this time around, I am using Grimas cream makeup and the reason is because Grimas cream makeup is non-sheer, provides a matte finish as such it is easy to apply, does not smear and lasts the entire day – no kidding!
Here is my collection of Grimas cream makeup
I actually bought this Grimas cream collection online and it was shipped to me from the Netherlands, where it is made and I have not regretted it then.
I use Grimas cream makeup on my cheeks as blush, eyes as eyeshadow and lips as lipstick. For this makeup, I used the same color. The trick is simple: pick a cream colour that can comfortably act as your blush and then use this one colour on your eyes and lips. Remember, your blush shade determines the cream colour you choose because lip colours may not work on your cheeks. So let your cheeks decided.
To apply cream makeup, use your fingers and start by applying a small amount at a time.
To apply cream blush, dap your finger in the cream pot and with a light stroke, brush your fingers over your cheeks and towards your ears. Cream makeup should be applied lightly as colours do intensify once they sit into your skin.
To apply cream eyeshadow, use your littlest finger because it can apply the shadow into the inner corner of the eye without smearing or exceeding the limit of the application. Please do not apply powder shadow before cream as it will crease; rather, you can choose to apply powder shadow over cream to make it last longer. But if you are using non-sheer cream makeup, you really do not need powder shadow.
To apply cream lip colour, use your finger as well and you will see how smooth it gets.
Don’t be afraid of cream; embrace it, especially for its multi functional purpose.
