Compliments of the season!
I love Christmas a lot and it is usually one of those festive holidays that I am committed to one hundred percent. For this year, all our activities were planned around family, friends and my in-laws. When you have to attend a Christmas party at your in-laws, you have to dress appropriately and look the part. For me, I opted for smart casual and when it came to my makeup, a demurred Christmas inspired makeup was what I opted for.
To start off, I cleansed, moisturized with BronzeGoddess Anti-Wrinkle cream, applied No.7 shine free primer before applying Mary Kay concealer under my eyes and Maybelline Dream matte mousse all over my face. I skipped pressed powder for a dash of Flori Roberts Bronzing Powder for that glowing finish that is great for the cold season.
Choosing a color for the eye was pretty easy as I opted for two shades of green to commemorate with the festive season. I started off by applying a lime green shade of shimmer eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eyes before using deep green eyeshadow for the rest of the eyes. I took a little dash of black matte eyeshadow for soft contouring on the crease of the eye.
That done, I used soft shimmer chocolate brown eyeshadow above the eye crease up to under the brow bone which I highlighted with shimmer gold eyeshadow. I used Fair & White black eye pencil to thinly line my eyes while applying a brush stroke of the dark green eyeshadow on the lower eye lid just beneath the eye pencil. I completed the eye makeup with 17 Va va voom mascara.
After blushing, I naturally followed with bright red Mary Kay Fire Cracker moisturizing lipstick. I finished off with Ben Nye finishing spray.
This Christmas makeup is mature, clean and demurred to create a perfect look appropriate for meeting with the in-laws or meeting your spouse’ boss. It’s easy and very simple.
Merry Christmas!
